COLLECT A PIECE NOW
Inatò didn’t begin as a gallery it started as a personal initiative,
a solo street exhibition by KaraTula, titled “Inatò.” The intention was simple: to bring the work outside, into public space, and closer to people who don’t usually enter galleries.
What followed was an unexpected shift.
The project didn’t end as a one-time show. It stayed. It grew. It became a street gallery — an open, evolving setup shaped by everyday encounters, passersby, and community interaction.
For over a year, Inatò existed this way informal, accessible, and grounded in the street.
Eventually, that same energy carried into something more permanent. What began as a solo effort expanded into a shared space.
Today, Inatò stands as a full artist-run gallery in Iligan City built not from institutional backing, but from continuous, collective effort. It carries forward the same foundation it started with: openness, participation, and a belief that art should exist where people already are.
Exhibitions
Inatò mounts both solo and group exhibitions that are concept-driven and artist-led, providing space for experimentation and dialogue.
Community Programs
The gallery hosts open mics, talks, and informal gatherings, often in collaboration with local communities private and public sectors.
Workshops
Workshops are regularly organized to encourage participation, skill-sharing, and public engagement with art-making.
Collaborations
The gallery works with collectives, brands, and institutions across cities, extending its reach beyond Iligan.
Over the past two years, Inatò has steadily built its presence through a consistent program of exhibitions and community activities. The space has mounted 23 exhibitions and facilitated 14 workshops and public programs, creating opportunities for artists to present their work while engaging audiences beyond traditional gallery settings. These initiatives reflect Inatò’s commitment to sustaining an active, accessible, and community-driven art space in Iligan City.
Inatò functions as more than an exhibition space.
It operates as a site for gathering, exchange, and shared experience where audiences are not just viewers, but active participants in the life of the space.
Openings often extend beyond the gallery walls, spilling into the street and creating moments where art becomes part of everyday movement. Workshops, talks, and informal gatherings invite people to engage directly, not just with the work, but with each other.
The space has supported both first-time exhibitors and practicing artists, offering a platform that is accessible and grounded in real community interaction. For many, it becomes an entry point whether into exhibiting, participating, or simply experiencing art in a more open and familiar way.
Inatò continues to grow through the people who show up artists, students, passersby, and collaborators shaping a space where creative practice is not isolated, but shared.
Within a local context where opportunities can be limited, the gallery contributes to building continuity, visibility, and support for artists choosing to stay and create in Iligan City.
