Enigma

Enigma presents a retrospective look at the evolving practice of Iligan-based artist Donnie Obina. Bringing together earlier works alongside more recent pieces, the exhibition traces the artist’s ongoing search for visual language across multiple mediums.

Working across drawing, painting, illustration, and other forms, Obina approaches art as a space of experimentation. Each work becomes part of a process an attempt to translate thoughts, dreams, and fragments of lived experience into image. Within these works, familiar figures and environments slowly shift, revealing moments where the ordinary begins to dissolve into the surreal.

Rather than presenting a fixed style, Enigma reveals an artist in motion one who moves fluidly between techniques and materials in pursuit of expression.
