“Y.O.D.O : You Only Die Once” reflects on the idea that people do not simply live one singular life until death arrives. Instead, we constantly experience emotional deaths and rebirths through heartbreak, failure, grief, exhaustion, change, and survival. Inspired by the phrase “Y.O.L.O,” the exhibit shifts the conversation away from temporary pleasure and toward the quiet reality of transformation—how people continue carrying new versions of themselves every day despite life’s weight and uncertainty.
Through carved woodworks, layered symbolism, vivid colors, and perspective-based imagery, the exhibition explores endurance, reconstruction, and the many ways people evolve through lived experience. Wood becomes central to the body of work, carrying its own scars, texture, cracks, and imperfections as a reflection of human resilience. Extending beyond traditional canvases into functional objects and everyday forms, the show blurs the line between art and daily life, reminding viewers that rebirth is not only found in extraordinary moments, but also within ordinary existence itself.
